Jason Rembert Talks Cozy Baileys Partnership & Enjoying Après Ski Season In Style
The joys of winter include snuggling under a blanket as you watch the fireplace, enjoying festivities with family and friends, sipping indulgent drinks and flaunting your best cozy fashions. In celebration of the season, acclaimed celebrity stylist and designer Jason Rembert paired with Irish cream liqueur brand Baileys “to blend the worlds of indulgence and high fashion” with the release of the first-ever Baileys Marshmallow Puffer Jacket. And of course, it arrives just in time for Après Ski season. Described as Baileys' first piece of “treat couture,” the jacket is available in limited quantities in the U.S. here.
Below, Rembert speaks to EDITION on the inspiration behind the jacket's creation, his favorite ways to enjoy winter and what's to come for the rest of the year.
What made this collaboration with Bailey's so special for you?
I’m always exploring new and unexpected ways to express my creativity, so I'm thrilled to team up with Baileys this winter to blend the worlds of high fashion and indulgence with the release of the Baileys' first-ever piece of Treat Couture - the Baileys Marshmallow Puffer Jacket -inspired by everyone’s favorite hot chocolate accessory, the marshmallow.
Baileys Hot Chocolate has always been a winter staple of mine with its rich and indulgent taste, the perfect treat for those cold days by fire so it’s truly a full circle moment to now use my skills to design the first-ever piece of Baileys Treat Couture that will take your fit checks to the next level and perfectly accompany a delicious Baileys Hot Chocolate no matter where the season might take you.
A puffer jacket is a winter staple, but how does your design elevate this classic?
The versatility of Baileys and the various ways in which you can indulge helped inspire some really fun and creative ideas, which made for a unique design process. The puffer jacket is oversized with premium embroidery detailing, and super cozy as inspired by Aprés Ski fashion, and also pulls cues from the signature rounded shape, soft texture, and puffiness of a fresh marshmallow, that tops off a Baileys Hot Chocolate for an extra delicious touch.
How do you like to indulge during this season?
This season, I'm looking forward to spending time with my friends and family and indulging with a Baileys Hot Chocolate! Baileys is synonymous with the winter season, so all I really need is my favorite cocktail, a Baileys Hot Chocolate, and my loved ones.
What's your favorite winter activity and why?
Honestly, spending time with family! I love to take winter vacations or spend chill weekends at home. Winter is a time to be cozy, and I love when I can sit back and treat myself to a Baileys Hot Chocolate.
Can you disclose any upcoming projects or collaborations you have in the works?
I’m currently in the midst of award season and preparing for New York Fashion Week! I’m also working on a new collection while preparing for upcoming carpets with clients, so it’s definitely a busy time.
