Sol Blume Festival Announces Return with Headliners Jorja Smith, Jhené Aiko, Tinashe & More
After a two-year hiatus, the female-led, star-studded music festival Sol Blume returns with a jam-packed lineup featuring: Jhené Aiko, Jorja Smith, Victoria Monet, Tinashe, Summer Walker, PartyNextDoor, Thundercat, and more.
The independent music festival will happen at a new venue, Discovery Park. Located at the American and Sacramento Rivers junction near downtown Sacramento, the new location offers over 300 acres of sprawling parkland.
“Ever since we launched Sol Blume in 2018, we understood that relocation at some point down the line was a must for the viability of the fest. After selling out the previous two iterations, plus continued fan feedback since taking a hiatus after our 2019 event, the team and I felt as though this was a perfect time to take that next step and grow our brand,” co-founder Fornati Kumeh tells EDITION.
Created by Kumeh and Justin Nordan in 2017, Sol Blume is one of Sacramento’s largest festivals dedicated to R&B and soul music. As a leading innovative Black-owned business, Sol Blume continues to be a fun, safe, and diverse haven where like-minded music lovers can gather to celebrate art, culture, and love. “We have always worked to create a more inclusive and diverse festival for our fans, and a lot of the experience we strive for starts with the performers,” says Kumeh. “Sol Blume is proud once again to offer a music lineup that is mostly female and entirely BIPOC, and we will continue to champion unrepresented artists for years to come.”
Sol Blume is known for its unique and diverse lineups featuring the hottest R&B, soul, and hip-hop artists. The 2022 lineup continues the tradition with a combination of award-winning singer-songwriters and rising stars. Headlining performers on Saturday night will feature the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriters with Jorja Smith and PartyNextDoor. The following day will feature powerhouse vocalists Jhené Aiko and Summer Walker, who will close out the festival on Sunday night. “It truly is a blessing to be able to have Sol Blume play host to many of these artists' first-ever shows in Sacramento as well as some of their only concerts on the 2022 calendar announced thus far,” Kumeh adds.
The festival will run on an expanded two-day format from April 30-May 1, 2022. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 31 at 10 am PT via SolBlume.com. General Admission tickets start at $200, and VIP passes are $400. Click here for ticket and lineup information.
