Fresh Out the Oven: Tia Mowry's ‘Comfort Kitchen' Is Back and Tastier Than Ever
By Leah Aulisio-Sharpe | May 6, 2022
Our favorite Sista Sista, Tia Mowry, is serving us more laughter and spice straight from her kitchen. The twist? This brand new season will be exclusively streamed on Crackle in partnership with Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company.
The series showcases the stories behind Tia’s traditional and creative family recipes. The sous chefs for this season's six-episode run include Lilly Singh, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Paige Hurd, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coco Jones, Terrell Grice, and Tia’s children, Cree and Cario. The first two episodes are available today (May 5th), with subsequent episodes released weekly.
"Tia’s fans who know her from her many series over the years will love Comfort Kitchen,” said Jeff Meier, head of programming for Crackle, via press release. "Tia is just as engaging being herself in the kitchen as she is in any of her famous roles. Her enthusiasm for cooking is a delight to watch - and with the mouth-watering recipes and famous guests, Comfort Kitchen is sure to be your new favorite cooking show.”
Initially created in 2019 through the entertainment company Kin, Tia Mowry’s Comfort Kitchen streamed as an eight-episode series through Facebook. Following the release of her second book, The Quick Fix Kitchen: Easy Recipes and Time-Saving Tips for a Healthier, Stress-Free Life: A Cookbook, late last year, there was more inspiration than ever to continue bringing her recipes to life.
Shani Black, head of programming for Kin, stated via press release, “Chicken Soup for the Soul is the perfect home for Comfort Kitchen. We are excited for Tia's fans, new and old, to experience Tia whipping up good food and laughing with her friends and family on a platform that encourages its viewers to savor life."
