Tiffany & Co. Launch 'NFTiff' — Transforming CryptoPunks Into Contemporary Jewelry Designs
Luxury jewelry House Tiffany & Co. is bringing bling to the world of NFTs with the launch of “NFTiff.” Designed exclusively for CryptoPunks holders and powered by Chain, the limited-edition NFTiff pass will be available on August 5th for 30 Ethereum (ETH).
NFTiff transforms CryptoPunk NFTs into custom-designed, handcrafted pendants. Tiffany’s designers will work with the 87 attributes and 159 colors across the collection of 10,000 CryptoPunk NFTs to match the most similar gemstone or enamel color. Each pendant will comprise at least 30 gemstones to create a custom design with the highest fidelity to the original NFT art.
Only 250 pendants will be produced, each engraved with its CryptoPunks edition number on the back. Each 18k rose, or yellow gold pendant will be on an adjustable chain between 18–22 inches composed of rectangular links that draw inspiration from the shape of square pixels. A limit of three NFTiff passes will be available for purchase per individual.
This marks the House’s inaugural venture in the world of NFTs, thanks to Tiffany’s Executive Vice President of Product and Communication, Alexandre Arnault. The idea sprung up when Arnault shared a photo of his custom jewelry interpretation of CryptoPunk #3167 on social media, created by Tiffany’s artisans and inspired by his NFT. Chain’s CEO showed interest in the piece, and the rest was history.
